2019 Sep (C28) Understanding Commercial Property, Development, And The Japan Customer

Before many major Japanese developers were building and operating shopping malls, a Japanese company run by international management with foresight was already setting up in the market.  Many retailers had come from France, the UK, and the US just to fail in the huge market despite all their efforts.  Costco Japan seems to be very successful now with it’s 24 warehouses around Japan, but it wasn’t such an easy start. 

In the September CEO Insights meeting we well accomplished real estate developer and boss, Mr. Seth Sulkin.  Seth will share some of his insights on the Japan real estate market, where it has come from and where it is going.  His firm, Pacifica Capital, is now focused on the hospitality industry. Pacifica is building and operating internationally-branded hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.
