Using Situational Leadership Skills To Transform Your Team
Every c-level struggles with developing great teams and leaders. Often times, a manager’s preferred leadership style is not always correct and that can result in retention issues or worse, disengaged staff.
In the April CI luncheon we will welcome HR executive, Ken Cogger, who will introduce you to how he uses situational leadership in his organization in Japan and in the global offices. Situational Leadership is a framework in which difference in proficiency is regarded as difference in situation and an approach corresponding to the difference will enhance the manager’s effectiveness.
The framework was developed back in 1969 by Ken Blanchard to build a stronger, more flexible organization at a time when most companies were run with only one style.
Situational leaders can
- avoid over-supervision and under-supervision
- improve engagement
- increase productivity
- beat ambiguity and uncertainty
