2020 July G3 – How A Megacompany Navigates Market Change – Innovation @ Hitachi

Japan is the world’s third largest economy for a reason.  The local market is made up of strong SMEs (small to medium enterprise) that are underpinned by big name and great quality large conglomerate companies.  Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Toyota, and many other names quickly come to mind.  However, a huge contributor to Japan’s economy is the Hitachi Group.  Hitachi is famous for making everything from refrigerators to heavy equipment for construction. 

In the July CEO Insights, we welcome Hitachi’s newly appointed CFO, Mr. Yoshihiko Kawamura.  Mr. Kawamura has played many roles at the group and will be sharing how Hitachi management is navigating economic change, working it’s international businesses, and innovating in technology to remain a leading Japan brand name.
